Welcome back to the final term of year 1
I know the past few months have been very strange but I hope you are all staying safe and well with your families.
Some of you will be returning to school to be part of 'pink' and 'blue' bubbles, and some of you will be staying at home and continuing to learn at home. Where ever you are learning, we will do our best to help keep you busy and safe.
Our Theme for the next 2 weeks is 'The seaside'.
In English we will be reading seaside stories such as 'Lucy and Tom at the seaside' by Shirley Hughes.
Can you draw a picture of a seaside/beach scene and label it?
Can you describe what a beach is like using your senses? I can see ..., I can hear ... , I can taste ..., I can feel ...
Please continue tom practice your phonics and key words daily and put these into sentences.
Please also keep reading as much as you can. The more you read, the more you know!
We will be counting in 2's, 5's and 10's.
We will be revising addition and subtraction using the 'whole, part. part model.
Can you create a beach/seaside scene either using art materials or in a small tray?
Can you draw or paint your favourite seaside creature such as a star fish? octopus?
How many star jumps/bunny hops/skips can you do in 5 mins?
We hope you have a great week
