We had so much fun exploring dinosaurs last week, we have decided to carry it on this week.
In English we will be reading the book 'Gigantosaurus' and will be creating our own dinosaurs.
We will be creating a name for our dinosaur, describing what it looks like using adjectives and creating a world for it to live in.
We will be using dictionaries to find out the meaning of new topic words such as carnivore, herbivore, omnivore and habitat.
We will be continuing our work on the alternative ways of spelling the vowel sounds.
BBC bitesize, alphablocks and phonics play websites have some great resources to help with these .
We will be focusing on money. We will be looking at the coins and notes, what their values are.
For example a 5p coin is the same as 5 x 1p or 2p + 2p + 1p or 2p + 1p + 1p + 1p.
We will be doing coin rubbings to make different totals.
If you are home learning, maybe play shops with real coins and see how many different ways you can make the total.
We will be creating our dinosaurs using different media such paint, collage and chalk.
We will be creating fossils and ammonites using clay and salt dough.
PE we will be using our bodies in different ways to move such as run, skip, hop, jump, crawl, slither.
Have a great week
