Always Learning and Achieving Together

w/b 18/5/20

Good morning Fox Class

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.  It looks like this week is going to be another sunny week so I hope you get to spend a bit of time outside in the fresh air either in your garden or when you are out and about on your daily walk.

English :

Phonics/key words/spelling - continue practising these every day, little and often is the key to remembering them.

Reading - please share a book with a grown up or sibling every day,  can you spot any of your key words in the book?

Writing : Please can you make a friendship / kindness poster about how to be a good friend.  What does a good friend do? How do they act? How does it make you feel when someone is kind to you?

Maths - telling the time

This week we would have been revising telling the time and measuring time.

Can you recognise o'clock and half past on a clock? What time do you wake up? What time do you have lunch? What time do you go to bed?

What do you do first thing in the morning? Can you have a go at making a little time table with times on and pictures of activities that you usually do in a day:  for example:

7:00am Wake up

7:30 Have breakfast

8:00 Get dressed

8:30 play time / activity time

10:00 Go for a walk

12:00 lunch

1:30 Activity time

4:30 do some sports

5:30 have tea

7:00 Bath time

7:30 Story time

6:00 play time

PE / Science - linked to maths

How many star jumps can you do in one minute? How many bunny hops? How many pegs can you peg on the line in one minute? can you make a tally chart of at least 3 different activities and time yourself.  Which activity did you do the most in one minute? Which one did you feel out of breath the most with?

I hope everyone has a lovely week, please drop me an email if anything is not clear or if you have any questions and I will try to help you as best as I can. I would also love to see any photos of activities / posters you have done.

Take care, stay safe
