Sport Premium

Sport Premium impact statement

During the 2025 -2026 academic year, PE and Sports Premium funding supported our commitment to providing every pupil with high-quality PE, sport and physical activity. Funding was used to enhance the delivery of our multi-skills PE curriculum, developing pupils’ agility, balance, coordination and wider physical skills from Foundation Stage to Year 6. This included opportunities across gymnastics, dance, outdoor learning and team sports such as tag rugby, hockey, netball and cricket, alongside swimming, Forest School and residential experiences.

A key focus of our expenditure supported the quality of teaching as well as developing staff confidence and expertise. Through our partnership with In2Sport and specialist sports coaches, Sports Premium funding was used to facilitate professional development, team teaching and access to specialist expertise. This enabled staff to foster sustainable skills and knowledge so that high-quality PE continues to be delivered beyond the funding period, while ensuring that pupils have a broad range of opportunities to participate and develop their physical and social skills.

Our Sports Premium expenditure also supported increased participation and positive attitudes towards physical activity, including opportunities for pupils to engage in sport both within and beyond the curriculum. By providing varied, inclusive and enjoyable experiences, we encourage teamwork, resilience, confidence and positive mental wellbeing, while inspiring pupils to establish healthy, active lifestyles that will continue beyond their time at Frogwell Primary School.
