Teacher: Mrs Andrews
Teaching Assistants: Ms Nicholls and Miss Wakeham
We are so happy to be working with the children in Year 5 for our final term and helping them to prepare themselves ready for the transition to Year 6.
This term in Science, we will be studying how animals including humans develop and reproduce in their life cycles. In Geography, we will be investigating the topic of Fair Trade and how it links to protecting our world. This links well to our focus on Plastic Pollution in Term 2 and also our History Topic in Term 4 as we will be referring back to The Silk Road research that we did.
We will continue to have Mr Donovan weekly to teach us about the elements of music.
You can find knowledge organisers and the topic map for this term by clicking on Curriculum Information.
This term P.E will continue to be on a Wednesday afternoon where we will develop our gym skills and also our Athletic skills in preparation for the school sports afternoon which is being held. On a Friday afternoon we are lucky enough to be having the Sports Coach again and during these sessions we will be developing our Tennis skills.
Please remember to come to school in the correct P.E kit, this is still an important part of our school uniform policy.
You should wear: Plain black / navy shorts, plain white t-shirt, trainers. Please ensure that long hair is tied back in school everyday.
Please remember to read at home a minimum of 5 times a week and record this on the Go-Read app. Reading is really important to help you with your learning so enjoy reading lots of different types of books and texts. Chippenham Library is open to join and is a brilliant local resource.
Each week you will have home learning set on Friday and it is due in on Wednesday. If you need help with completing your home learning then I will be very happy to help you on Tuesday lunchtimes.
This will be set on Google Classroom.
To find your Home Learning go to www.classroom.google.com .
You will need to login with your school email and your password.
Any questions or help that you need please email or ring the school office, message me on Google classroom or speak to me in person. I am happy to support and help you in anyway that I can,
