School Development Priorities

Whole-school School Development Plan priorities 2018-19

Priority 1

Improve provision and outcomes for Early Years Foundation Stage Literacy and Maths Early Learning Goals

Priority 2

Raise attainment in Phonics at Year 1 to be at least in line with national

Priority 3

Improve outcomes for more able pupils:

  • in KS1 – increase % attaining Greater Depth Standard in Reading, Writing and Maths (esp. R&M)
  • in KS2 increase % attaining Greater Depth / Higher Score in Writing and Maths (main focus on provision for more able writers)

Priority 4

Development of Computing teaching and learning throughout the school.

Priority 5

Further development of the school’s recently introduced new PSHE provision and preparation for statutory PSHE and Relationships Education in September 2019.

Priority 6

Improve whole-school attendance to at least 96%.

Ongoing ‘maintenance’ areas

  1. Maintain the high quality of teaching throughout the school so that it is at least good.
  2. Maintain the quality of assessment for learning that impacts on pupil outcomes.
  3. Maintain a strong focus on the provision for and outcomes of disadvantaged learners (FSM6).
  4. Maintain strong pastoral provision with evidenced impact on pupils.
