Welcome to Potter Class!

Hello and welcome to our class page. Potter class is one of the two Resource Base classes at Frogwell school. Our class is made up of the younger children across the two Resource Base classes (generally Reception- KS1).

Our staff team is made up of:-

  • Mrs Gumbrill- Class Teacher and Resource Base Leader

Our wonderful teaching assistants are:-

  • Miss Marsh- Higher Level Teaching Assistant and PPA cover- Wednesday
  • Mrs Love (full time)
  • Miss Broom (full time)
  • Miss Metcalfe (full time)
  • Miss Fry (Mon/Thurs)
  • Mr Laroze (Tues/wed/fri)

Please use Class Dojo to communicate with us, share information or if you have a question regarding your child or anything school related! We will use Class Dojo as a way to communicate with you about what your child has been doing in school, photographs of their learning and any questions we may have. New parents in September will be sent an link to create an account.

Later in the term we will start our 'Story sharing' sessions every week, again new parents, this will be explained further as we settle in to the term and information will be sent home to you, this will explain all about how and why we use story sharing to support all children in class in some way to share their stories/news.

Please ensure that your child has a full PE kit in school ready for our sessions, we will send them home at the end of the term to be washed.

Appropriate clothing for PE:

  • Black/blue shorts or jogging bottoms
  • White T-shirt- please only send in a T-shirt with the school logo on or plain white (no other logos please)
  • Sensible footwear- daps or trainers (daps are preferable for indoor PE as the velcro fastenings support independence)

From Term 4 onwards we will be swimming every Tuesday afternoon, until the end of Term 6.  Please send in a swimming kit every Tuesday.

As the weather gets cooler, please always ensure your child brings a coat into school everyday. They may also bring in wellies to wear at playtimes as the weather gets wetter!

Please also ensure that your child has a clean water bottle in school everyday and a snack for mid-morning break if they are unlikely to eat the school provided, healthy snack (fruit or vegetables).
