Donaldson (EYFS)

Welcome to Donaldson Class

Mrs Jenkins (class teacher) and Mrs Webb (class TA) are so excited that you are starting your school journey at Frogwell. We know you will have a wonderful time and learn lots of amazing things. Our class is named after the author Julia Donaldson, who wrote stories such as The Gruffalo, Stick Man, A Squash and a Squash and many, many more! Do you know any Julia Donaldson stories?

Please come and speak to any of the EYFS team if you have any questions or queries, we are always happy to help.

Term 5

We will start this term with a mini -topic: 'How to keep our Teeth Healthy' where we will learn all about how to look after our teeth. Following that, our main topic is 'How does your Garden Grow?' where we will be looking at plants and the conditions they need to grow. Hopefully, we will all develop some 'green fingers' as we will be planting different plants to make our outside area even more beautiful!

We will continue to enjoy our love of stories and develop our writing through Drawing Club - Our first story this term will be The Selfish Crocodile.

Please look at the curriculum information below for more details.

PE:

This term (T5) PE will continue to be on Mondays and Fridays. Children will need to wear PE KIT TO SCHOOL on those days (plain black jogging bottoms / leggings / shorts, school polo top and school jumper/plain black or navy hoodie with trainers or daps - NO LACES thank you!)

On Friday 3rd May we are very lucky to be taking part in the Chippenham Sports Partnership Olympic Games at Abbeyfield School - details to follow shortly.

On Wednesday afternoons (from week 2) we will be doing FOREST SCHOOLS with Mrs Gosal - more info to follow!
