Welcome to Jeffers Class!

Welcome back to school – we have got an exciting term ahead. 

Have a look at the curriculum map for Term 1 and knowledge organisers attached for more detailed information about our learning and to help you talk about this learning together at home. 

PE

This term, we will still have PE on Wednesday and Friday. The Wednesday session will be Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA), which is a great opportunity for team building and developing problem-solving skills, and Friday  will be gymnastics inside. Please ensure children come in correct PE uniform on these days: 

• Plain black / navy shorts, plain white t-shirt or white t-shirt with school logo
• Trainers for outdoor PE
• Plain black / navy joggers and a plain black / navy sweatshirt or ‘hoodie’ or a normal blue school jumper.

  Please do not wear different colours or clothes with other logos. 

Home Learning

There will be no home learning set this term on Google Classroom. However, we strongly encourage children to read at home daily. Little and often is key and this may only be 5 minutes a day. Alongside this, children should practise their weekly spelling words, which can be found below. They may like to write these out or practise them orally. Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s regularly  will also be beneficial in supporting fluency in mathematics.
