Our Star Learners Week 4-6
Wow! The last few weeks of Term 2 were so busy. We had a fantastic nativity show, Christmas parties, a carol service and lots more. We still had some super star learners and it is great to see the progress that the children are making.
A big welcome to Riley A who has settled brilliantly into Australia class.
Our Star Learners Week 3 (18.11.16)
What a busy week! We have all visited the Life Van and raised money for Children in Need today by wearing spots to school. We are also busy practising our KS1 Christmas production.
Well done to Hugh for receiving the Perseverance award. He has worked really hard to improve his handwriting and tries hard to remember to whoosh and flick his writing! Jasmine is our Star Learner this week. She wrote a fabulous story about The Smartest Giant in town and has been able to move up a level in her reading. Taylor received Player of the Week award at his rugby club. Well done spotty superstars!
Our Star Learners Week 2 (11.11.16)
Well done Amelia. She received the Perseverance award for trying really hard with her Maths learning this week and also after putting extra effort into reading at home has been able to move up a colour reading band. Fantastic! Mya was chosen to be Star Learner this week. She always concentrates well and tries her best in every task. Alex received a Bronze Mathletics certificate this week. Well done to all our super learners this week!
Our Star Learners - Week 1 (4.11.16)
Well done Amelia! She was awarded a certificate for Perseverance. Amelia has been trying hard in maths and felt she was "stretching" her brain. George was Star Learner for having a super attitude to learning and always trying his very best. Taylor and Blake received certificates for Mathletics, both achieved a bronze award.
Our Star Learners Week 7 (21.10.16)
Blake received the Perseverance Award this week. He really challenged himself in Maths to find 3 numbers that make 10. Eden was our Star Learner. She has worked hard to write a fantastic piece of independent writing about our story this week, 'Why the Kangaroo has a short and stumpy tail'. A super week for Blake and Eden as they also both scored over 1000 points on Mathletics - bronze certificates all round!
Wishing everyone a super half term. The children have made super progress this term and we can really see an increased confidence in reading and writing. Thank you for all your support!
Our Star Learners - Week 6 (14.10.16)
Another busy week! Well done Finley who received the Perseverance Award this week. He spent most of today making a huge number line from 1-100! Molly is our Star Learner this week. She has listened and concentrated well all week. George was invited to the Headteacher's Tea Party. He always keeps the Golden rules and works really hard. Alex is the first person in our class to receive a Mathletics certificate for scoring over 1000 points. Great learning everyone!
Our Star Learners - Week 5 (7.10.16)
What a busy week! Well done Mya. She was awarded the Golden Ticket to the Headteacher' s Tea Party. Mya is a fantastic member of the class and she always keeps the golden rules. Congratulations to Joe who received the certificate for Perseverance. This week Joe has challenged himself in Maths and Writing. Rihanna is our Star Learner this week. She worked really carefully and presented her work neatly.
Our Star Learners - Week 4 (30.9.16)
Well done Josh! He received the award for Perseverance this week. He has impressed Mrs Cozens by trying really hard in Phonics. Hugh was awarded 'Star Learner'. He listened well in Maths and did some super maths learning about 1 more and 1 less. George, Taylor H, Josh, Rihanna, Alex and Riley were all entered into the Golden Book for completing their star charts.
Our Star Learners - Week 3 (23.9.16)
Amelia G was chosen this week to receive the Perseverance Award. She was able to independently find resources to help her with her maths learning. Taylor B was chosen to be the Star Learner. Great home learning, daily reading and super attitude towards learning in the classroom. Amelia G, Blake, Dillan, Eden, Finley, Jake, Jasmine, Joe, Molly and Taylor H have all been entered into the Golden Book for completing their Star charts. Well done everyone!
We have been reading the story 'Ben and Gran and the whole, wide, wonderful world' by Gillian Shields in class. Today we were so excited when Gran came to visit our class. She had travelled all the way from Australia, miles and miles and miles away. We gave Gran some of our apple crumble. She said it tasted delicious!
Our Star Learners Week 2 (16.9.16)
Well done Tiamo for receiving the Perseverance Award. She has tried really hard in Phonics this week. Alex was chosen to be our Star Learner for great maths learning. Mya, Crystal, Josh and Taylor B were entered into the Golden Book for completing their Star charts. Well done everyone!
Our Star Learners - Week 1
Well done to Callum for being the first person chosen to go to Mr Bacon's tea party. He kept the school rules all week and made good choices. Our Star Learner was Jake, he tried really hard to cut a straight line. Taylor was chosen to receive the Perseverance award. He tried so hard to write the letter 'c'.
All the children have settled really well into school this week and are getting used to the new routines. Well done everyone!
